In the 34th match of IPL 2024, held at LSG’s home ground in Lucknow, KL Rahul won the toss and elected to bowl first.
Mohsin Khan struck early for LSG, dismissing Rachin Ravindra for a duck. Ajinkya Rahane’s composed 36 off 24 balls provided stability for CSK alongside Ruturaj Gaikwad’s brisk 17 off 13 balls. However, Ruturaj fell victim to Yash Thakur shortly after, followed by Shivam Dube and Sameer Rizvi.
Ravindra Jadeja’s promotion up the order proved fruitful as he notched up 57 off 40 balls. Moeen Ali contributed 30 off 20 balls, while Dhoni’s blazing 28 off just 9 balls, with a remarkable strike rate of 311, propelled CSK to a competitive total of 176 for 6 wickets.
